About Santa J. Ono

Santa Jeremy Ono (Japanese: 小野三太; born 1962) is a Canadian biologist and university administrator. Serving as a faculty member of Emory University, Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University, and University College London, he contributed to the field of gene regulation in the immune system and to the understanding of inflammation in the eye. Ono served as the 28th president of the University of Cincinnati and is currently the 15th president and vice chancellor of the University of British Columbia.
