About Asha Sinha

Asha Sinha is a former Director General of Police in Jharkhand Police. She has the distinction of being appointed the first Woman Commandant of any of the Paramilitary forces of India in the year 1992. She is a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of 1982-Batch. She has held several important assignments in the States of Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Bihar and Government of India culminating in the appointment to the senior most position, as Director General of Police in the year 2013.
